Delivering with Dr. Miles

From her very first visit with Dr. Miles, Samantha Lewis was impressed with how diligent and approachable she was. “Dr. Miles has been a great doctor. She is always attentive and listens to everything I say. She’s very easy to work with,” she shares. There’s no question why she chose Dr. Miles to deliver both of her children. Samantha also notes that Dr. Miles was very comforting throughout her pregnancy, adding “I was blessed because my pregnancy was easy. Dr. Miles consistently reassured me that things would go smoothly and she always let me know exactly what was going to happen which helped me to not have to question anything or anticipate the unexpected.”

Samantha welcomed her daughter, Brennley, into the world on July 6, 2017 so she’s a little over a year old. Samantha says, “She’s doing great! She’s so fun and walking and into everything now. She’s really starting to show her personality.” Both Brennley and her brother, who is two years older, “Have so much fun together!” Samantha adds. She really enjoys watching both of the them as they grow.

It was important to Samantha to deliver with a doctor who she could trust, adding, "Dr. Miles was very friendly and easy to talk to. Sometimes you can feel a little uncomfortable and nervous about sharing everything, but with her, it’s easy to be open and honest about what you might be going through. Especially with her being a mother, she’s been through the process herself so that makes it easier because she knows exactly what I’m talking about when explaining things to her.”

Dr. Miles recently welcomed her new twins, Magnolia and Oliver, in addition to their older sister Charlotte. She shared that during her pregnancy with her twins, she experienced many complications which has helped her gain insight that she shares with her patients when applicable.

The OB unit at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing recently re-opening October 1 after being renovated. “People who have delivered here before will notice that the unit has gotten a nice facelift. We’re excited about some of the changes as the unit has been freshened up and we’re making improvements on how it functions too, Dr. Miles shared.
